Kwaito is a uniquely South African variant of house music that emerged in Soweto, Johannesburg during the 1990s and is still very popular today.

The word kwaito originated in the Gauteng townships. It comically borrows from the Afrikaans slang term kwai, which is similar to the English term hot. It was used to describe house tracks that were considered kwai, and now were using it to describe our super comfortable black soled Veldskoen sneakers.
